The COVID-19 has given way to a new normal. While many gyms have re-opened, many still frequent public parks with inadequate equipment for their workouts. The Ministry for Gozo retains that public open spaces can be transformed into well-equipped open gyms where people of all ages can do their daily workouts. The Ministry for Gozo launched a scheme to assist Gozitan Local Councils in developing outdoor gym/outdoor exercise parks/outdoor fitness zones in sites located within their delineated boundaries. This should enable the public to enjoy these open spaces while at the same time keeping fit through exercise.
