The aim of the Interreg Europe eBussed Project is to promote the exchange of experience and ideas between regions at different stages of e-bus operation development and to improve the implementation of public policies to support regions transitioning towards low-carbon and sustainable electrified public transport.
The project, of which the Ministry for Gozo is a partner, officially started in 2019. During the last few months, a local Action Plan was developed in each partner country. On the 21st June 2022 the local action plan for Gozo was presented to stakeholders during a local dissemination event at the Cornucopia Hotel in Xaghra, Gozo. For this event there were present all the stakeholders of the project, including the CEO of the Gozo Regional Development Authority (GRDA), who has endorsed the Action Plan and will be including it in the Gozo Regional Development Strategy.
During Phase 2 of the project (July 2022 – July 2023), each partner will be monitoring the process of the implementation of the actions listed in the local action plan.
